Who can’t have fun designing a games room for family gatherings? The owners also enjoyed music and specifically playing the guitars and so the instrument collection was also to be housed in this room.
The large 72m2 room was added to this Victorian house in the 1960’s and was quite an odd shape with 60’s features such as sunken planting troughs, double glazed entry doors, wooden ceiling, green felt walls and floor to ceiling picture windows. Features I love in a modern house and It can work so well to embrace the different style options but the owner was keen to blend the style to match the main house.
The windows and doors were replaced to match the proportions and style of those in the main house.
We added feature panelled walls and built-in furniture to house the instruments, music system and game storage.
A great space for coming together with family and friends.
